Gay Wilson, Gore
Gay is the longest serving worker for Women’s Refuge in NZ, having saved thousands of women and children’s lives over 30 years. She will willingly enter various extremely dangerous situations in order to rescue and protect young mothers and their children from abuse and violence. She has also worked for IHC for a number of years.
Lyla Sherriff, Tuatapere
Lyla embodies true ‘Kiwi’ spirit and through countless volunteer hours over many years is the backbone of her local community. Some examples of the groups she has initiated and run over the years and of which she is now a life member of in recognition of her invaluable contribution.
